I looked at this a long time....
Seems like an intriguing study in balance of tension. The strongest element being the pull of the figures to the right against the anchor of the foliage on the left; then the more subtle tension between the stark silhouette of the fore against the soft back; then the still more subtle contrast between the "normal" looking clouds at the bottom of the background and the scatter of curious-looking cloud shapes floating strangely above. There's probably other stuff goin' on that I can't isolate ... but that's probably just as well.
