Well, not really. Rain really makes the flowers grow.

This was an exercise to use my Nikon 80-400mm AF-S to shoot close ups.

Please view in download.

It should either rain more often, or you should get the blues more often--some combination thereof! This is wonderful, Pierre! Elegant, great color, superb composition and lighting. Well done.

We can compliment Sandra for this. That beautiful woman bring them home to plant in her flower garden. A few minutes ago she brought home a pot of gorgeous climbing yellow roses to plant along the cedar rail fence. I'll get to them when we get some gentle soft light.
Thanks so much Randy for your comments. They are most rewarding.

But darn it, the identity and care spike fell out of the pot and is nowhere to be found to give them a name. They are some sort of vine.
Thank you Linda, I appreciste your comments.

My opnion, for what it's worth, is that the digital age has really encouraged the use of new and different framing.

Thanks Bob.
With a little luck they'll last more than a short time. The vine is now in the ground with a trellis to promote growth.

Thanks Angela.
We have had showers for parts of the day for the last week. The Portulaca,of course, have closed right up, but, today is bright and sunny and they have opened right up. They and all the flowers are in their glory.

They don't like it wet and they love the sun. The variety of colors is incredible.

Take some shots of yours when in full bloom and color, I love them, and like I said I haven't planted them in a few years. I love that after you plant them, the next year you might get a few new strays!!
