Sigma 150-600mm Sport

Finally got the Sigma 150-600mm Sport lens with the Nikon mount. Took two test pictures handheld with Vibration reduction on. First is at 150mm & the second is at 600mm. It was taken thru the sliding glass door with the screen in front of the door but I'm very satisfied with the pictures Although the 600 is a little soft.

You took it through the glass door and the screen?
No wonder it is soft.
As to the palms being soft. The Sigma is like my Tamron, at 600mm focused closer than the next town over the DOF is pretty shallow compared to what is in the field of view.

Shooting thru a screen was the "poor man's soft focus filter" in the days of film, FYI.

That is a super lens and I do not think you will find it to be soft at any length. I used a rental version on two trips this year and was more than happy. I cannot hand-hold it and I knew that so my shots were virtually all with a tripod and gimbal head. No softness noticed.

Went around my apartment complex today taking animal pictures & flowers. I was hand holding it. After a while the weight was starting to bother me cause I was hand holding it. But, I mean But, the pictures came out fantastic.
