I haven't posted pictures here in a while, so here we go. First is an Eastern Lubber, maybe not quite 1:1. Then a fully grown caterpillar of the polydamus swallowtail (for more pics of the whole caterpillar check here
http://cyclicalcore.deviantart.com/art/Giant-caterpillar-full-view-472648423)
Next some newly laid eggs of a zebra longwing followed by some hatched atala eggs.
Finally some weird fungus that fell on my table while eating lunch outside :-)
ISO 100, 1/200s, f/9-f/16, ETTL flash. 6x8 softbox on the flash.
 Especially the eggs.

Since this picture was taken, I actually had some zebra longwings lay their eggs in a plant in my backyard while I was taking pictures, I also have pictures of the hatched eggs and the tiny caterpillars that came out. I can't wait to process them :-)

On your computer, I suggest that you start a folder entitled
Zebra Longwing Life Cycle, and start saving images.
Here is one of my "Life Cycle" folders:

Super series! I especially find the "crazy fungus" interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with the others, a nice selection, nicely done.
Well done Brian... I favor the caterpillar, excellent detail on this shot. Good job on the lubber too. Eyes on these can be problematic, very harsh glare.
Thanks for the kind words everyone :-)
I'll get another batch up here one of these days :-)
