my canon f/4 24-70 has a lock switch that is stuck in MACRO. any suggestions or just have Canon fix it. Thanks, Jim
Does the switch not move or when you move it nothing changes?

Is the focus dial in the macro range? You do know, don't you, that when the dial is in the macro range you have to hold the switch forward (towards the lens hood) while you rotate the focus ring out of the macro range? If the switch is stuck in the forward position and you can rotate the ring in and out of macro without holding the switch, then it seems like you have an issue for Canon to repair. Either way, in macro or not, the switch should rest in the neutral position between macro and lock. If it doesn't, and rotating the focus ring doesn't free it, I would send it to Canon. Don't try to force it.

Do you think I'm stupid? Cause I am. Thank you so much. I just haven't had the need to use the Macro since I have dedicated Macro lenses. Appreciate you taking the time to solve my problem. Jim
