When I lift my pen while dodging and burning and then continue to D&B it will go over the areas that I already did, making them brighter and darker. Did I change a setting somehow?

Wacom Intuos Pro P&T

Thanks in advance.

that sounds like normal operation - I am thinking d&b is accumlative

can't remember if automask will protect the previous areas or not. sorry, memory isn't what it used to be

That is normal. The effect builds every time you apply the pen.

It just started doing this today though. I always lift the pen and when I apply again it picks up where I left off.

That is the way it works. Don't lift pin unless you want it darker
