should I have added an image to focus stack?

Looking at the peony photo, I wonder if I should have added another focused photo of the upper right corner?
Any cc is welcomed.

I don't think another frame is necessarily needed. There appears to be plenty in focus for my eyes to digest. I do think the shot is running hot. You may want yo try knocking down highlights and/or whites in post. If image wasn't clipped in camera you should be able to recover a lot of detail. You could also try localized contrast on the top 1/4 flower or perhaps a contrast gradient on the top 1/2. Looks like photo is over sharpened too, see halos around the edges of the petals on the right side... Keep working on it you are doing well. White petals can be very difficult to nail in camera.

One guideline about focus-stacking is to start your photos focusing in front of your subject, then progress away from camera, so you guarantee capturing the closest part of subject. You missed it here. The tip of the front petal is soft.

You can always discard (not use) photos with nothing in focus, but if the DoF of your first image is too shallow, it may not carry the absolute tip of subject.
