Making a slide show in PS CC. I am stuck

I started a slide show in Photoshop Creative Cloud last night. I saved it and had no trouble reopening it this morning, but now when I try to add more photos to it they are either black or transparent. I don't see an opacity problem in the menu, but I am obviously missing something. Can someone help?

I'm going to follow this one. I am brand new with PS CC and am working my way through a Julienne Kost course on Lynda.com.

I've not got to this part yet, but my guess will be that your are somehow not sliding the photo to the time line the right way.

It is probably something really simple. I just can't figure it out.

I'm used to doing it in LR and Premier Elements. In Photoshop CC it appears it has to do with adding video layers. But, I've got a ways to go!

I ended up starting over. Then after an afternoon of work found out the file was too big to save. So back to the drawing board. I am learning as I go, but this project was suppose to take a couple hours not all day and I don't have a lot of time to get it done.

Hay Mama... Ashampoo makes a fine slide show program that is easy to use and does a great job ... price is right @$40. Indeed one program that does it all like PSCC is going to compromise many things... You can download a 30 day trial.
Many transitions, Ken Burns Effect, will finish by burning many formats from phone to Blue Ray and all between.

The "HD 2" is a great version... just as good as 3 few left on E-Bay @$ 25 the ad also shows some detail of the program.

Thank you all. I will look into these other programs, though it frustrates me to no end when I can't figure something out.

First, let me apologize and say I can't help you, since I quit using Photoshop at CS3. When I was still using Adobe products, Elements was easier to do a slide show.

Now, I will say that, personally, I favor a dedicated slide show presentation program. It is published by Photodex, is called Proshow Gold, and is loaded with every imaginable feature and twist you could want in a slide show... everything, and ease of use...

Now the best news.

THEIR HELP DESK IS INCREDIBLE. They have worked with me for incredible lengths of time over the telephone to get the job done. You have control over every aspect of the slide show... images, videos, narration/Audio.. track length modification. Do it all.

The price is about $70 and you will get that back in 2-3 support calls..... no WAG's on a forum.

I do lots of slide presentation. Proshow Gold has functions to upload directly to your own YouTube account, plus many other share features.

Now, I'll shut up and let the Adobe CC people attempt to answer your question.

I should have mentioned, Proshow Gold offers a full featured free trial, but it puts a banner across the middle of your slide show images, and I don't think the help desk is available??

There was always a slide show in Photoshop Bridge up to version CS6.
Try Bridge>View>Slideshow.
