Sorry I keep posting almost the same shots but, the work schedule and the weather are limiting my opportunities.
Keep shooting!
We all had to experience "macro shooting boot camp". Your advantage is so many helpful Gunny Sargents in this forum.

I still hone my art (practice), even though my eyes no longer focus properly. I thank Nikon for accurate Auto-Focus!
Nay-Sayers discredit A-F for macro, but it has served me well.
May your practice never end. Like Tom and Douglass I will continue practicing. The day I quit practicing is the day I will hang up the gear for good.
Douglass brings up the a good point concerning nay-sayers. While certain areas of macro are difficult and take a lot of practice more, often than not, the determined photographer can utilize the equipment to capture the shot they want.
Keep at it, if were as simple as taking a snapshot it wouldn't be fun.

Me too. Everything I have ever done has required me to practice everyday or at least every chance I had.

I should probably try AF, I have been using manual. Hopefully , this weekend I will find new subjects.

I am sure the practice will continue for as long as I can shoot. But, I would like to get one good one under my belt just so I know I can do it.

Set your camera focusing preference to "small central spot", and place your subject dead center for accurate focus.
Worry about macro composition later.

You will get many under your belt, I can see it in your existing photographs. Macro is all about camera time. You just need camera time to hone your skill set. What separates most people who shoot macro from those who don't is basically desire. If you have the desire, the skills will follow.
You are well on your way. I think none of us will ever stop practicing ;)
