getting excited

Less than 2 weeks, I get to meet one of our UHH wedding forum members. Tim Stapp from Michigan will be coming down to Fort Wayne to work with us for a wedding. He said that he wanted to get some experience. I'm excited to meet him face to face.

I promise, I will do my best not to scare him away from wedding photography, or our section. :-D

Hopefully, we'll both be posting some stellar images from this wedding in a few weeks.

Been more busy with family, prom and senior photos lately, so it is good to get back in the old wedding saddle.

Bob, I too am excited! I can't wait. It will be great to finally put a face to a name and actually hear a voice. I only hope that I can contribute to the job in some small way.

I'm about 5'6" (wide) :-)

Someone must have squealed about my equipment.

I am an ex-boyscout, so I usually bring 10x more equipment than I'll ever need. Better to have it and not need it. Now that Tim is helping, we can just strap it all to his back and let him carry the whole lot of it, instead of leaving it in the car.

As a former scoutmaster and father of an Eagle Scout, I'm much the same way. My "carry in" tool box weighs 100+ lbs. and goes on a two wheel cart. I stay in pretty good shape just taking out and putting away in the van half a dozen times a day.

As an ex-scout (I'm 60), my backpack for a 5 day, 50 mile hike weighted in at 18.5 pounds. That was before aluminum and lightweight packs, was the old canvas Boy Scout pack and a homemade frame. 15 meals, clothes, hygiene stuff and my sleeping bag

Embarassed here. Our scout troop was a major disaster, as a group, in 4 years, we made exactly one camping trip. Scout master had us set up tents at the bottom of a hill. Of course, we ended up with torrential downpours that night, and everything was completely submerged. My parents took me out of scouts after I ended up with pneumonia. True story.

Just to ease your mind Tim, I won't ask you to carry ME on your back during the wedding. :-)

I have always felt that 1) on time is late, and 2) I would rather have it on hand and not need it than need it and not have it. (within financial reason, of course)

My other job is a Real Estate Broker .......... I always say, "if I'm not 5 minutes early I'm late".
