Super shots, Pat. Looks like you had a wonderful time!
Thats one big tree Pat, great shots.
Another interesting series, Pat. Gotta love that big old bear. He goes where he wants when he wants and nobody dares to bother him.

Thank you, John!
I was a self contained, going in circles, mini fire drill trying to get a shot...
My wife spotted him in a small meadow.
Had to turn pickup around.
Got back to the meadow.
Reached for the lens case for the 100-400 lens and mounted the lens on the camera.
Go to the edge of the meadow.

Had to go back to get the right lens.

Got a couple of shots.
Oh! The bear is headed for the road!
So, I walked up the road a short distance and the bear crossed the road.
Got my shot!!!
Whew!!!......

Nice set Pat. That is a beautiful area. When I lived in California back in the 60s and 70s I was a frequent visitor and would often cam out and fish the streams in the adjacent Sequoia National Forest.
Wonderful shots, Pat! I especially like #3 and #6. Hope you weren't too close to that bear!
Good captures, pat. Sounds like a fun trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
