So now what after the shoot?

Just wondering how photographers present their photos to the client after the shoot. Weather it be wedding shots, portrait work or whatever, what is the norm today? Do you put the images on disc? If so, what type? Flash drives? On line sharing? Do you offer prints? Hope this makes sense to you folks...

What I do is explain the options to the people concerned and leave the choice up to them.

I use either a Samsung Tab Pro 12.2 for in person viewing, or my website which has a passworded client viewing area. I never give them anything until they order and pay for work.

I'll meet with them and have the images I want to present on an iPad. We can look at and discuss each one. I'll make notes regarding their comments or requests, then provide them with the finished photos in whatever format they wish.

I learned that trick from a friend who does weddings.

I give them a disc and let them do what they want with it...I would never give them a flash drive, you always have to go and collect it or rely on them bringing it back...a DVD/CD only costs a few cents, a flash drive will cost several dollars..

I make them use Drop Box. It works extremely well.

Yes, I am aware of that leitz, but my question is what are the options? Meaning I do not know, I'm trying to learn what's available. Thanks so much folks for your replies, I'm learning.

I apologise for being blunt. I shoot primarily for pleasure these days, but when I do get a request it is usually for prints, although recently I have been asked to provide RAW files on a flash drive. (The few requests I get are from professional folk, who know what they want.) Good luck to you.
