Still looking for lens hood for the Nikon P900. Tried and off brand 67 mm screw in, and only getting a periscope effect. Keeping on for lens protection.

Ohhh for the days a lens hood was part of the price you paid for the camera.

FWIW. If by "periscope effect" you mean vignetting AND if, by chance, your current, "off brand 67 mm screw in" lens hood is a traditional, symmetric hood AND if the price of the suggested lens hood from Amazon/(or, any other retailer) doesn't work for you, then I would think that a generic/~$5-from-China-thru-eBay 67mm "flower petal" hood should work as well as the one being sold through Amazon.

If your current lens hood is a "flower petal" type then you could consider a 67mm-72mm OR 67mm-77mm step-up ring (less than $5 from China on eBay) + a generic "flower petal" hood designed for the larger thread size (again, figure $5-to-$6 from China on eBay) ...

OR, if you are handy (and, presuming you have a "flower petal" type of hood) then you could simply trim down the offending portion of the hood which is causing the vignetting with a file ... the taper on a half-round file will allow you to work closer to the petal's notches if you feel it is necessary ...

If you happen to have a symmetric lens hood AND you are both motivated & very handy, then you could trim away the offending portion of the hood with the fore mentioned type of file.

BTW. This may be stating the obvious, but many of the pictures of the generic, "flower petal" lens hoods sold on eBay seem to show them oriented 90ยบ from how they should be mounted!!

This is supposed to be good for as wide as 20mm:

Hmmmm. None of the cameras I bought in the "old days" included a hood. All of the lenses I've purchased in he last five years included a hood matched to that specific lens.
