I would like to create a photo map of my travel adventures/location. I was hoping something existed that models Google Panaramio (or allowed me to display only my photos).

I did my obligatory Google search and their own forums with limited success. I could not find any option to use the Google feature and tag or limit the dispaly to only my photos. Does anyone have a suggestions or may know of 3rd party software that offers this.

I did see some discussion that one can embed photos into Google Earth using Picasa ... but I need to explore that further.

I have 45 photos in Panoramio and when I'm looking at my photos, only my photos show with the tag in the map, and only my photos are listed on the right. However, within the small map, other's photos do appear. Guess you cannot prevent other photos from showing in the map but it doesn't provide a map to all your photos. My link is in my signature.

Or are you looking for privacy that you can prevent others from seeing your photos? Your photos are public on Panoramio. You also can include photos that are not selected for google earth (inside or with people in them) but they will still show in your list of photos and tagged to the map if you have coordinates in EXIF.

Using Mr. Google I searched Photos on Map (duh!) and found an interesting site tht I have to explore and test. I would like to embed the map into my personal website so I can share to friends and family via 'pins' those locations we visited. The visitor would then mouse over the 'pin' and see one image -or- link the 'pin' to a website gallery page of many photos.

Alternately, I see there is a feature between Picasa web albums and Google Earth where a personal/private photo map is (maybe) possible.
