All are nicely composed and shot David! Does the scorpion fly bite or sting, or does it eat scorpions?
The Scorpion Fly is so called because it's tail terminates in something very similar to a scorpion's stinger. As far as I know it does not have a sting. It uses that beak to catch insects on the wing. I have attached a shot that although not great does shows it's tail. Thank you for looking and for your very kind comment, always appreciated.
