Very cool assortment, David! I love the composition and dof on the scorpion fly (a scary looking critter!).

There are certainly some very scary things in the undergrowth! Still very new at this and it's a steep learning curve but quite addictive. Thank you for looking and for your very kind comment, always appreciated.

All are nicely composed and shot David! Does the scorpion fly bite or sting, or does it eat scorpions?

Nice shots. The scorpion fly is a strange looking beastie.

The Scorpion Fly is so called because it's tail terminates in something very similar to a scorpion's stinger. As far as I know it does not have a sting. It uses that beak to catch insects on the wing. I have attached a shot that although not great does shows it's tail. Thank you for looking and for your very kind comment, always appreciated.
