Very cool assortment, David! I love the composition and dof on the scorpion fly (a scary looking critter!).

The Scorpion Fly is so called because it's tail terminates in something very similar to a scorpion's stinger. As far as I know it does not have a sting. It uses that beak to catch insects on the wing. I have attached a shot that although not great does shows it's tail.
