Yep, and many have gone to the hospital or even been killed because they think the National Parks are Disney movies or Gentle Ben.
These aren't petting zoos. The rangers even have a name for the dumb tourists, but I forget it at the moment. I seem to remember that a few rangers have written books about the stupid things tourists do.

Was there a few years ago and it wasn't only buffalo, people were walking right up to bears. Some even set up their tripods within a few feet of the animals. Rangers were going bonkers trying to keep them safe.

Nope, you're right, they're not locals. We have the same problem with them in Banff and Jasper National Parks with the grizzlies and elk. They never seem to learn that these are not pets.
