D-90 Firmware update question

Would anyone know why I was able to update firmware for the 90, from
B-1.00 to 1.01, but unable to update the distortion control to 2.0 ??
I did everything exactly the same to perform both updates.
Not clear if it's a big deal anyway.
Thanks folks

When you say you are "unable to update", what do you mean exactly? Is the menu option greyed out?

After downloading the file onto the SD card, and putting it back into the camera, going to firmware in the menu, it should have "update" as an option; it doesn't. Thanks for your reply.

I suggest you contact Nikon support. They have helped me with similar issues.

Thank You for the advice Chase. The problem seems to be my inability to get to the ".bin" file. I get the upgrade file from Nikon downloaded, but it's an ( .exe) file and I can't get to the bin file.

AH! Double-click that .EXE file. It is a compressed file and when you double-click it, the .BIN file will be extracted. Copy the .BIN file to your card, and it will go.

Thank You Brucewells. I feel I'm not doing something right since that's exactly what I have been doing, and each time I dbl click the exe file, it goes through to process of "installing it" and I can't find where it installs. I must have 20 copies of this thing somewhere on my machine that I can't find. I do appreciate your input. Thanks Again.

Typically, in these circumstances, it will put the file in the same folder as the .EXE, or in a folder under the one where the .EXE resides. Hope you can find it!!
