I would like to buy a compact tri pod to take to Disneyworld. I use a Nikon d7100 with assorted lenses. I'm trying to buys good tri pod without spending a lot of money .
With tripods, it's true that you get what you pay for. "Good" and "inexpensive" are almost mutually exclusive terms. Just be sure to get a good ballhead.
Are you sure Disneyworld allows the use of tripods? A lot of parks do not. You might consider a monopod.

Save your money. A cheap and light tripod is completely worthless, and just extra gear you'd have to lug around. Seriously. Save your $$$.
Disney should be fairly well lit. Faster shutter speed.
A monopod is a great option ,helps steady the camera and holds the weight up. I love mine when shooting the 50-500mm the pod takes the weight ,plus can be used as a walking stick !
I have used a monopod and it's ok. But need tri pod for shooting fireworks.
Just need suggestions based on what other people have used! Thank you

Went to Disneyworld last April, and took too much. Spent a week there and only used my D800 with my 24-120 lens and SB900 flash. That is all I needed. Never saw any one with a monopod or tripod, except for Disneyworld photographers. Not sure if they allow either one.
You may want to take more, it is just more to carry around. Have a great time.

FYI--tripod is one word. :)
As others have said, please be sure Disney allows them.
As Gene said, don't waste your money on a cheap one.
Yes they do allow you to use monopod and Tripods!!
Next time I will proof read before I send , Gotta love auto correct on phone. I'm well aware tripod is one word ! I'm looking for what brand, model number ext. people have used and worked for them . Not interested in idle chitchat! 😁🚫 thank you

I don't think they allow either.

A couple of years ago my son bought me a Sunpak 6000PG tripod from Best Buy. Never looked up the price since it was a Christmas present from him but I know it was nowhere near the cost of a good Manfrotto. I have a D5200 with 18-55 and 55-300 zooms and that Sunpak has served me reasonably well.
Good luck with your fireworks pics. I've been to Disneyland and stayed for the fireworks. People packed pretty tight together at the decent vantage points. By that time everyone's tired, especially the kids. Tempers and patience definitely on the last leg. When they see someone pull out a tripod and set up in a space where 4 kids could watch the show that tripod is quite liable to receive several bumps, nudges, kicks, hits, etc. Assuming someone doesn't just step in front of it. But give it your best shot and have a good time.

I believe they only allow monopods or tripods that will fit in your camera bag. Could be wrong, but I think this is the case. Bring them along; the worst case is you leave it in your room.

I go to Disneyland once a month and the do let you use them. They don't have a problem with it as long as you're not doing anything for professional use
