Not bad for 1 st attempt , remember lighting is everything in macro, either natural ( I prefer) or set up or ring light. Keep at it!
I personally, have a heck of a time getting any half way decent shots in natural (direct) sunlight. I will even take a chance of scaring off my subject, to create a shadow so I can rely only on my speedlight with softbox diffuser.

Some people have pretty good luck with the better, higher quality ring lights but, I gave mine up early on and haven't looked back. It may take some time, trail and error to find what works best for you.

I had my best results, saved myself lots of time & grief, emulating set-ups of the people who's images I admired on this forum.
And yes, keep at it. Practice, practice, practice

Thanks, I tried practicing yesterday. Every time I was ready to shoot the wind would blow. I told my wife this is going to be more difficult than I thought.
