This bird was eating some birdseed when I shot her using 896mm focal length at 25-30 feet.

Canon 7D Mk2 - Canon 100-400 II - Canon 1.4x III - 1/328 - f/18 - ISO @ 1000.

Patience is the key word. I am always hoping the birds will naturally perch on a nearby branch and not be at the feeder, so I still try to get the best shot I can.
Thank you, marsdad, for your good comment.

Great as usual Regis   Love your recent use of crop on crop for extreme focal length. Kinda puts the TC haters in their place!

Thank you, Fullframe. Many teleconverters do not have the sharpness from what I have used in the past. The exception is the Canon 1.4x III when it is used with the right camera and lens. So, I am happy to crop a cropped photo and still retain sharpness. This Canon 1.4x III is worth the $430 price. The detail is amazing using the Canon 7D Mk2/Canon 100-400mm II/Canon 1.4x III to get within 2 feet (front of lens to subject). The Tamron 150-600 will give you a similar sharp photo, but you have to be at least 8 feet away.
