Hi kids! My first macro shots I felt worthy of putting on the Hog. I think I will enjoy the flower shots. Those dang bugs never wanna pose long enough to get my focus where I want. Hhhmmmm......maybe flypaper?

Taken with my new Sony SEL30M35 lens and natural lighting.

Thanks FrodoBaggins! Having problems seeing the LCD when my glasses turn dark. Outside of a second pair of glasses, how to get around that? I could turn up the juice on the LCD but worry about short battery life. If I can get my shot using the viewfinder I do not have this problem.

Any suggestions?

Rick

While outdoors in strong sunlight, I wear a Hoodman HoodLoupe around my neck, and press it to my LCD when I want to view a just captured image. I can press my glasses against rubber eyecup to block-out most ambient light.

I am not familiar with this lens. On which camera is it mounted? What size camera sensor?

Not much help here other than extra battery or the old blanket over the head to block the light. Sorry.

Per http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/sony-a6000/sony-a6000A.HTM , I see that your camera is mirrorless with a 24.4Mp APS-C sensor. I suggest that you consider (temporarily) attaching a 3x Hoodman HoodLoupe to your LCD, so you can bypass the small viewfinder, and view the much larger LCD screen, for both photography & image review.
