I have been watching the birds come and go on this foggy morning. The Blue Jays are the only ones I have successfully captured this morning. These were taken with my Tamron 150-600 handheld but well supported.

You've learned to handle that longshooter very well Andrea. Your spot focus handled capturing the Jay's eye in the first photo quite sharply, even though there were some intervening leaves vying for attention. Well done.

Thank you Bob for looking in and commenting. I have actually been working out some to get the strength to hold this lens and it is paying off although I do still have to support it. It has been a learning experience but I am determined to get it mastered. I appreciate the visit.

Both shots are nice Andrea! I like the feeling of peeking in on him in That first one!

Thank you Michael for taking a look and the comments. I also liked the first one. It was a little more difficult to get that one with the leaves. My little tree is getting leaves which are making it hard to capture many of the birds in it.

I share the same frustration this time of year. You might try cutting away a few limbs in a place you can see them, put some food or peanut butter on a limb... Then hide and watch.

I have been considering going out and stripping the leaves from the best vantage points. The peanut butter will also help.

Beautiful! When I see close up photos like these....I regret not having a better camera! Love the leaf effect in the 1st one. Both are great! Thanks for the share. Bob

Thanks again Bob for looking in. I am only using a T4i for these. It is the lens that is getting the better shots and I am getting better at using it. I love this big tammy, it was worth the investment.
