Went on a short drive with my Nikon Coolpix in my pocket and this is what I found.
Great colors and textures - you may want to watch the focus a little closer - seems a little soft. Looks like these could have been shot in shade or towards dusk which may given you a slower shutter speed which could have effected that also. Thanks for sharing.

I really like number 1. Here is one of mine.
Thank you NotnoBuddha and you are right about the lighting. It was a cloudy nasty day so I left my new Canon at home and took the pocket Nikon with me. Also , thank you Lindy for sharing your nice shot.

I have a Nikon D5000. The lens that I used on both pictures was my 50mm. Picture #1 F/2.8 1/4000ss ISO-220. Picture #2 F/1.8 1/4000 ISO-400
Just couldn't pass up the opportunity to add a trio of my fungi. I have more but this will do for a starter - and maybe finisher.
Okay, this is my first post. I've enjoyed lurking a bit but hey, mushrooms! One of my favorite subjects. These above shots are terrific!
Hope you all don't mind if I post two of mine. Taken down by my mailbox with a Nikon D70, 105 mm lens, Raw, ISO 250, Shutter speed 1/250, f4.5 early in the morning.
Sun was perfect, just coming over the hill for an almost horizontal light. Would appreciate any comments. The scene and the photos were not manipulated. Posted as a med res jpg
Welcome Caroledwinell, love the gray of the mushrooms and the way the light played wth them. Bartman; #1-love the web on the underside, #2- looks like a flower, #3-a nuclear reactor. Thanks to all for sharing your great shots.
All these images are great. Sometimes as we walk about we don't always look down to see all that nature has to offer.
Mar rail Mushroom
Morels appear in the spring time when the apple trees bloom here in Va. They are edible and have a great nutty flavor.Nice shot.
The mushrooms in my two shots up above are inedible. Do not eat either one of them. But still beautiful.
The Morel in "ScotchBrandy07's" post in the edible one I refered to.Sorry abt the mix up.Please don't eat any mushrooms unless you know for sure what to or not to eat. Some are just food for the eyes.
