This was strictly a "messing around" shot, trying to come up with some unique perspectives. I showed it to my daughter, who promptly told me that she's seen it before. So, I guess I'm not original, or maybe just every possible idea has already been done by this point.
Remember, this is more about the idea, not the execution. First, I realize that my hand is less than attractive.
Neither the ring, nor the couple is in sharp focus. That being said, so far, this is the favorite image of the bride and groom. Probably going to be the cover of their album. Yes, after all my complaining about nobody wanting to buy albums, the very next couple wanted one. :)

Good messing around! I have seen a shot like that where something was used to prop up the ring and no fingers. I was going to share it with you but can not find it now.

Sorry for the ugly fingers, those are mine. :oops: Actually this is a crop, the original would have looked better, because you could see more of what was going on outside the ring, but my nasty hand really took away from the image.
If I do this again, I'll ask my daughter or wife to hold the ring. Live and learn.
