They have hatched !!!

Several days back I posted images of Red Spotted Purple Butterfly eggs. Well had to go out & check on them in my backyard even though I'm still running a fever. Surprise !, They hatched & two of them very recently... And yes, I've got to clean my sensor....

Went out today & 2 of the three are nowhere to be see... Wonder if something got them ?

To protect caterpillars from predators, you can use a twisty tie to hold a large, clear plastic bag around end of branch, enclosing your cats. Allows sunlight in, and can eventually be moved (with cat) to another branch.
