Shot this on 3/1/15 it was hastily done through high clouds.
30 sec, ISO 800 with my old Meade 8" & fork mount.
Can't wait to get some clear skies next weekend up on the mountain.
I have several DSOs I want to shoot with my new AVX Mount, Meade 8" Scope and Canon T2i H-Alpha Conversion Camera.

Thank you very much GGTTC. Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully better images to follow next week.

Thank you GT, I always get excited to go to Mt Figueroa. Hopefully the wind is tolerable.
You can just start to pull running man out of there.
Good luck this weekend. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you Jim I'll need it. Got 60% rain on Thur and Fri and windy Sat.
I don't understand this March weather in May.

I seem to remember saying that sometime back. I think the star party at Chaco may have issues.
It's looking like clouds. Maybe if we buy enough stuff we can end this drought.

I have 60% chance Friday and an outdoor portrait session Saturday... here's hoping it's clear Saturday night! :-D

So do we, only the clouds I get are just that, clouds.
Heres tonight's Big Dipper scoop and the light polluted clouds. Just enough to be annoying and in the way.
Converted and some noise removed

If I may ask, did you convert your camera yourself or did you have it done for you? I think if you were to use a narrowband filter something like 7nm-15nm to eliminate some of the higher frequencies you could pull out an extraordinary amount of detail.
I have had solid cloud cover over the past week with no end in sight.
Great capture by the way, I was hoping to have my D800e converted and would love to have it TEC cooled too, but havent had any luck finding anyone willing to try it.
