Nikon P900 in low light conditions?

My granddaughter has her National Honor Society program this evening and I was considering taking my P900 instead of my D7100 for the convenience of the zoom capabilities. The lighting is really poor and I'm wondering if any of you P900 owners have used your camera in low light conditions and what kind of results you achieved.
Thanks

Edit: I should have mentioned that flash is prohibited.

Why not simply conduct some low-light tests yourself with the camera? Then you know exactly what to expect, and how it compares to the D7100.

Poor planing on my part, I don't have my camera with me (I forgot it) I'll be meeting my wife there after work. I was going to ask her to grab it and bring it along which is another reason to go with the P900. It will be easier for her to find than it would to locate the D7100 plus the two lenses I'd need. Bottom line is I won't have an opportunity to do any experimenting.

Low light and high zoom don't usually go well together, especially with a small sensor camera.

Low light is where a bigger sensored camera like the Nikon D7100 will shine.
What lenses do you have for it and how far away will you be?
That could make a difference.

If you have a decent zoom lens for your D7100 then I think that is your choice. However, that aside, I have had some very satisfactory results in certain low light situations with my P900.

The P900 very long zoom would be useless. Bring the 7100
