Red Spotted Purple butterflies are laying their eggs on my Black Cherry tree again this year. I posted some images last year of the same type of eggs along with the caterpillar to the same species. Look to have 3 eggs laid on the tips of 3 different leaves.

Maybe I should collect the leaves & rear these as well...I think I'll wait till they hatch since I check on them every day now...

Nice photo. Until I started reading this forum I had no idea eggs and larva were so colorful and had so many neat shapes.
