Jumper On the House

We don't seem to have many of these-- or perhaps it's still too chilly. Yesterday as I was taking out the recycling, I noticed this little guy. First time I've seen one with a meal. It was about 5mm long-- so I don't know if that is small for a jumper-or not.

I missed the focus a bit, but I was holding the rig over my head & trying to frame using live view.

I'd still like to find some in a natural environment.

Gauging from this Jumper's lunch (winged Aphid), I'd guess in the 5-7mm range. If this is a type of Wall Jumper, it is in it's natural environment. I wish mine would venture off of the Stucco and onto something nicer.
Nice shots!

Once he began to run away, I tried to corral him with my hand away from the post. He scurried into the crevice between two siding boards. He took his lunch along.

Thanks Allen, yes we have been here for over a week now but finding a house to buy is proving difficult in this area as all the prices here have gone up so much whereas they went down in Spain, also the euro/sterling exchange has been unfortunate for us. I will get back to macro soon I hope.

Oh, didn't think of the housing prices. That's unfortunate. We sold and bought about 3-4 years ago. It was a bad time to sell and a good time to buy--so figure it for a wash. Good luck. I'll be curious what you find for macro in the new environment.

I'm sure he thought "he can pack his own lunch, mine is mine!" Nice shot of the little thing.
