O'Gorman's photos are beautiful. It's kind of sobering to think that such vital young women are no longer alive - it sort of points out the transitory nature of life.

I had not thought of it so philosophically, likely because I look at so many old photographs, but yes, you are right. It is a bit odd feeling glimpsing into the life of someone in the past. Photography like that can be sort of like "time travel".
