AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D, Bower reverse ring on a D200. Cut the grass for the first time this year. Nice to have nice weather again. light breeze moving the flowers around, bees don't stay still long. For the first shoot with the lens I hope you all approve. I have the summer to master the lens.
Image #1 looks to be a macro capture, but I do not see one area in focus.
Images #2 & #3 are close-up photos, as the subjects are wider and taller than the 23.6mm x 15.8mm sensor of your D200 camera:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond200 Neither are 1:1 magnification (life-size).
Note the very narrow DoF in images #2 & #3. What aperture did you set on your reverse-mounted lens? (Difficult to do on a reversed A-F lens.)
Just keep at it and don't be afraid to post whatever you manage to capture. This is how we learn from folks that have already been there, done that
The set up you have is one of the trickier ones to master.
And practice, practice, practice and then practice some more
Celebrate the opportunities. You got the shots, even if not the focus. Practice, practice, practice. You will prolly have an AHA!! moment in there soon, then the real work begins. First is getting the shots, then perfecting.
P. S.- try practicing on some wind free, stationary objects, like coins, or jewelry, being sure to have adequate lighting.

I still recall the feeling I had the first time I nailed a shot :-D I can't wait for the second one
Same here Bill, it was back in '59. Then there was one of a sunset down in Venezuela in '83. I lost that negative, I still carry the regret (I gave the only print to a friend who passed). I just HAD to stop drinking after that. LOL
