The colors just caught my eye. Still using my Sony point and shoot.

This ia a wonderful image. Great job with your point & shoot camera.

If you have Photoshop, or something similar, you might want to clone out the big hot spot; and, also do a crop on the bottom to take out your shadow. You would then be left with a stunning image, that really pops and catches the viewer's eye.

Easy to get shadow when sun is at your back. Sometimes lowering the lens angle or move away and zoom does it. Great photo though with lots of great color.

Thank you! I didn't even notice my shadow or the hot spot..
but there they are! I don't have Photoshop; don't know how to crop. Do you buy Photoshop?? I'm new at all this; just like to take photos. :)

Yes, Photoshop is a high-end sofeware package that you purchase; however, there are lots of other programs out there (some free) that can do lots of things for you. A new full version of Photoshop is several hundred dollars. . .not what you want or need.

Since you posted with "save original", I can download your image, do a Photoshop fix, and then repost it on here for you, if you would like???

I'd love to see what you can do with it! Thanks! Oh, by the way, do you like moose? Just wondering 'cause of your name. I love them and have lots of pictures that I took in Canada with my Pentax film camera with a zoom lense...but don't know what to do with all my prints now that I have a digital camera and computer. :(

Actually, it is their soleful eyes that I like about the mighty moose. . .yet they can be very "hateful".

I did two different types of fixes. First is just to crop out the problem areas. The next example is more involved, as I am sure you can see. Then, just for fun, I added a third, with one of my edge filters.
