Anyone have any feedback for me on the Canon G 16? I print 8x10; 11x14 & 16x20. Thanks.

I got my Canon G16 last month. The results are very good, confirming the very high ratings it received by reviewers. I had one image printed 11 x 14 and it looks great. I use the G16 as a "bridge" camera when using my Pentax K3 DSLR is not appropriate or available.

I've had a G15 for a couple of years and maybe 4000 shots. It's basically the same as a G16.

Great camera overall, and easily makes 11x14 with no problem. I haven't made any 16x20, but can't imagine any problems.

It's not quite a "pocket" camera except for something like cargo pants.

The only complaint I have with it is the exposure compensation dial. It's positioned so it's too easy to accidentally move (like while taking it out of your pocket or purse).

I shoot a housed G15 underwater and can print quite well at the sizes mentioned. The G16 adds Wifi but otherwise is same camera. Shoot Raw

The Sony a6000 is a very fine camera but it is a very different kind than the G16. Before I chose the G16, I compared it against others of the same general type and price range (Fuji X30, Nikon P7700, etc.), but not against a interchangeable, mirror-less, higher priced model. Either way, you have two excellent choices.

Here's a shot I took with the G16.
It was the very first shot once I loaded a charged battery. It was set to Auto, with no other settings, and taken indoors (no flash) with bad lighting. The all glass sun catcher was hanging a few inches from an open window. It's one of the shots I take when testing a camera, lens, or light setting.

Thank you. That's the best kind of help. Been price shopping. Has anyone dealt with DigitalPros.com? They are $100 less than Adorama * B&H where I usually buy.

Before I ordered from B&H, I saw the DigitalPro price and was tempted, but I suspected it is a "gray market" seller and stayed away. But it's good to get other opinions.
