To the best of my knowledge, this is to come out in September of this year, and is to be a free download for 1 year from the release date.

Also this came come as an update and it will be a large one since it is an O/S--at least a G or more. And may be that it comes automatic.

I was recently at a computer store and the clerk that I was talking to said that he had a beta version of 10 and was really happy with it

[i][b]Sure hope the clerk is correct.[i/][b/]

I've been on "XP" for 16+ years.... the last 8 months using Ver 8. (disaster at first) until my son got into it @ work . . . by developing "bail out" choices on 2 different screens.

Sure eliminated "hunt & peck" — I could get back to square [start] with one click of the mouse. {sure can't afford a touch screen. . . and don't care about cleaning the screen - daily - or more often}

AMD CEO leaked at a recent Board Meeting late july. As AMD is on the verge of bankruptcy due to the debacle of Windows 8, the announcement may be more than just a slip of the tongue.

It looks like Microsoft may be ramping up to meet that deadline.

I have been running 10 on three computers since Preview Build 6629 and now on 10041.

Looking good, every thing works and no problems with either software applications or devices. Very fast.

It has been an upgrade, although I did successfully download a couple of ISO's which work as clean installs when burned to DVD. I am going to burn the DVD and install Windows 10 dual boot on a separate partition on my Windows 7 machine... allowing me to boot to 7 or 10 at startup.
