Blowing the dust off

Wish me luck, have the first wedding back after my "medical hiatus" coming up on Saturday. This is a "3 hour reception only" shoot, and knowing the couple, I've shot 3 generations of wedding photos for this family, I'm half wondering if they won't all be wearing cut off jeans and T-Shirts. I'll still post a few, so you can see what a real "Indiana hootenanny wedding reception" looks like. I'm hoping for more, but like I said, I've been shooting photos for this family forever. The Grandmother's wedding was one of my first by myself.

I'm really comfortable with doing the shoot, but my business partner is failing pretty fast. He did a baby shoot last week, and took 238 photos (what???? Had I been there, I may have taken 15-20), and out of those, I salvaged 4 to show the family. In other words, I'm going to be shooting this one alone.

I know, I've discussed it before, but I don't have the heart to kick him to the curb. He's been a real friend for years, and has helped me when times were tough, so I guess I'll suck it up. I'm half thinking that this reception may actually make him make up his own mind that he's just not able to keep up. From the photos (out of town reception) of the hall, there are steps, which will be a real issue with him, as he can no longer do stairs.

Wish me luck, and hopefully my average is better than his as far as usable shots.

Good luck, although I doubt you'll need it.

Tomorrow's the big day. We look forward to seeing some of the results of your labor. You're an experienced professional who is sought after. There will be no major problems, in spite of the fact that you might be doing it yourself. I'd love to find a local guy who'd be willing to let me 'tag along' and do some 'second shooting'.
Good luck! But you won't need it.

Good luck Bob, but I bet knowing the family will make it a breeze for you.
