I'm thinking of subscribing to the $10.00 per month photoshop program. My question is, can I install it on more than one computer?

Yes but you aren't supposed to use them at the same time.

Most likely one would be on a desktop, the other would be on my laptop.

Just a FYI if you have a Staples nearby (or you could order on line). With a new sd card purchase right now you get 3 months for free. Great chance to try it out. I bought a card this week for $16.99 and going the free route for 3 months first.

Yes, 2 computers is AOK with Adobe. I have CC installed on a desktop and a laptop, and usually run both at the same time, with no problems.

Yes. But only one session per license ie, you can't run two sessions of PS at the same time. You can have both LR and LR Mobile at the same time though.

For a while I had CC on my iMac and my wife's Window machine. We were both able to work simultaneously. Eventually, she bought her own license so I could install on my laptop

My other question is--- will photoshop directly read camera raw, without first converting it to Tiff or Fitts or some other format? That is one of the main reason I'm interested in the new (subscription) version.

The way raw works is it must first be converted to a viewable image format - tif, jpeg, psd, png, etc. Photoshop has Adobe Camera Raw embedded in the software to do that. Lightroom has the same conversion engine, but in a slicker faster user interface.
There are some software packages that appear to do what you are asking, but in reality they must all convert the raw data to an image file.
This should not dissuade you from getting PS/LR - it's just something you should understand before you get it.

In my old program I have to convert the files in another program, then import them into photoshop. My question is, can photoshop do those conversions withen the program.

PS and LR employ ACR to view Raw images. LR is actually built around ACR. If your camera is compatible with ACR then no pre conversion. ACR will convert RAW data into a viewable format that is not really a TIFF or JPEG.

Ok, I am using a Canon 60d, so it should be a common format of RAW. I have no idea what ACR is, just hope my camera knows.... But from there, can I make whatever adjustments I want or need? Sorry for all the questions, but up to now I've done most everything in JPEG, or had to convert to Tif in some other program first. I'm hoping photoshop will do it all.

You can have two running at the same time. If you want to run it on a third or fourth computer you must sign out of the others. I have it installed on 5 computers and I merely sign out and sign in on the computers I want to use. It's no big deal unless you are trying to cheat.
