G 1X?

The Canon G 1X was originally $700, now $400. It seems the only drawback is slow focusing & some shutter lag. Do any of you who own this fing these a problem?

The G1X MII is a great little camera. But shutter lag is still a problem compared to a DSLR. One trick to help improve the problem is to put the auto focus on continuous and turn on the focus assist beam. It does use more battery this way, but it increases the speed of focusing and decreases the shutter lag time.
