Welcome to Day 76 :) An interesting thought popped into my head when I was out walking in the desert yesterday. The desert here in Arizona is filled
with a lot of thorny plants and bushes that snag your clothes. Then I spotted this path off in the distance and I wondered why on earth I didn't
change directions and get on that path...it would make my life so much more simple. Then it hit me .. what a great subject for the challenge.
Hidden Pathways Leading to Unknown Places. This made me think of our almost ingrained attraction to simplicity. Simplicity in design, Simplicity in movement,
Simplicity in photography. It's almost like our brains go back in time to the evolution of our species and our instincts for survival. Maybe it's out natural
tendency to conserve energy, follow the path of least resistance, it also influences our perceptions on photography. The more simple the photograph, the
stronger it becomes. Why fight your way through the tangled brush, when you can simply go on the path. I imagine that deer and other animals think the same way.
If I were a deer I would take the path instead of fighting the thorns and prickly cactus. The path of least resistance has so many examples in nature.
Snow is a fabulous simplifier .. it hides everything but the path. So that is our challenge for today .. those hidden pathways that make you go hmmmmmmmmm maybe I
should go that way.
Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Good morning...I especially like your #2 photo, but the path of #1 looks the most intreging (sp). Great idea for today. Wish I had a contribution. It's cold and rainy here, so can't go out and find any pathways.

Seriously.....

The best paths are walked barefooted at the edge of the water on a beach in the winter while your brother-in-law is home shoveling snow!

I enjoy walking trails and so do my grandchildren. My little grandson loves running through trails in the woods and walking through sandy paths to get to a lighthouse. When I go for a walk on woods paths I always take my camera with me.

I like following woods paths through a nearby walking trail, no matter an icy trail in the winter or a nice shadowy walk in other seasons. Sometimes following paths can be precarious like this grassy path along the top of the South Head Cliffs at Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick.

RR. the lighthouse picture was located on a red earth trail in a sister maritime province;Prince Edward Island. Also a very beautiful province.
