Lightroom CC upgrade

EDITED...

I downloaded and installed the new CC upgrade to Lightroom a few days ago, when we were all talking about it. Like with most people, it did not overwrite my existing version, 5.7.1. I left that there, as a kind-of safety net, just in case the new one failed on me.

I've played with it a bit, and it seems to be working. It even seems to work with slideshows, which always crashed the old version on my machine(s). Never made too much fuss as I don't need that, but still...

Anyway, I have decided that it is now safe to remove the old version. I go into my control panel (this is Windows 8.1 64-bit), and into the programs er, program. It isn't listed there. The only lightroom listed is the new CC.
The icon for the old one is sitting on my desktop, and I just checked, it still works and yes, it calls up the old version of the program. It wasn't just redirected to CC.

So, I have 2 versions installed on my PC. If you check out the file structure - I have been looking for preset folders - Lightroom stores sub-folders in all kinds of places scattered around the PC. I even have 2 separate preset folders, on different hard drives, and they both update when I add a preset to the new CC.

Does anyone have any idea how I can safely remove the old one, without screwing up my system completely? I don't want to just go around deleting files, but windows seems to think it is already uninstalled...

Aren't computers fun?

Duh! Turns out it lists it as Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1 in there - I wasn't reading far enough along the line...
