They say we are getting frost tonight. So I just got done making frames for all the flowers in the yard. Going to tuck them in before I go to bed.:) Might be a little cold in the house with all the bedding outside.:)
seems to never fail....all we do is wish for spring...flowers start to bloom, we start our veggie gardens and everything looks good, and what happens BAM a frost always seems to sneak back in for a reality check.... :)
your tulips look fantastic Erv
Good ideal, Erv. We may get some too. Just covered the potatoes with some hay.

The winds knocked a dove's nest out of our weeping cherry tree. Dove's make lousy nests anyway but I felt bad for her. She had been sitting so quietly for a week or so. Frosty and cold this a.m. Would love to put away the winter coat but not yet.

Looks great around your home Erv. Would frost really kill these plants?

LOL! I have put so many of their nest back in the tree over the years. They probably think I am one of them.:) But they always have babies in them.:) We got down to 26 here. But they look pretty good to night. And are starting to open.

Hi Mike. We moved here about 20 years ago. We did live right up the street. I wanted the yard to be animal friendly.:) And a place I could sit and enjoy. I am also a rock nut. I have piles of them I am make raised flower beds with around every where.:) When I took the covers off this morning they looked pretty sad. I think if it would have gotten any colder they would be dead. They were drooping pretty bad. Some of them did get frosted that I didn't cover. Time will tell on those.:)

Good idea, Erv! You tulips are sooo pretty! I used to plant them around our lamp post back when we had our house.

Thank you Sue!:) Janny loves flowers. But I think this winter was pretty hard on all of ours. Might be planting a lot of new ones this Spring. I know a few of the shrubs didn't make it.:(
