After much (!) reading, I had decided on the Sony a6000 as my "walk around" camera. Now I see the HV 90 coming out soon that would really fullfill my needs. I don't need lens interchangeability. The HV 90m has a huge zoom. The difference for me is the sensor size APS-C vs tiny 2/3. My question: if I enlage to 8x10 80%; 11x14 10% & 16x20 10% - how important is the APS sensor to me? * I do hve several APS-C Nikon DSLR's & lenses out the wazoo. Just getting older & lazier. Thanks.

I don't know about the sensor size for enlargements. I don't think it would be a problem at the size you mentioned. The Sony Cyber-shot HX90/HX90V look like great walk-around compacts though. I might even look into one of these to replace my Nikon Coolpix when I don't want to carry the DSLR around. Heck they are even 18 megapixel, 2 megs better than my Nikon D7000.

With the shots like the one above, I wouldn't worry!! The a6000 is my fav - retired my D7000, and won't go back. Love the feel of the Sony, sharpness, etc.
Best of success in choosing!!
Thanks for the feedback. It's all good, just confusing.

You might find the small sensor too confining when you crop a shot. but the extra zoom might replace the post cropping. I just think the APS c size is the best!
