This isn't actually a flower, it's a pen topper that a receptionist had on her desk. I shot this with a Nikon D3100, 60th of a second, 5.6, 200 speed, at 55mm focal length.

try shooting dead flowers in a cemetery....much more selection and state of decay / degradation to work with
