50,000 bikers for Gillette's Children's Hospital.
Started to cover the annual Flood Run out of the St. Paul MN area that runs south along the Mississippi River down the Wisconsin side and back however you feel like it. This year there must have been over 50,000 bikers who donated to the fund and a lot more that just joined the ride. After a while, I realized that some of the more interesting shots were those of the riders themselves and not so much the bikes. Not that the bikes aren't something else, but so were the riders. Thanks to the riders and this annual event, a lot of money is raised for Gillette's kids.
Miles of bikes coming into Prescott WI
Just a shot in town. The sounds are incredible
just two of thousands of happy bikers
Pic #2 shows Minnesotans at their favorite pastime - hanging out at the Pie shop - was northern blueberry on the menu.
Found that if I wanted to include more pictures I would have to downsize the pictures. Some of the nicest people I have ever been with. Looking forward to shooting next years event again. Some of the traffic jams were 15 miles long mostly with bikes.
? Diners, Drive Inns, and Dives ?
finally made the outskirts of Prescott
take my picture
what friends are all about

You might think that beer and spirits would have been flowing wildly but that wasn't what I saw. Normally alcohol can not be consumed outside the bars in town, but for this event they dropped the rule. With that said, I saw very few alcohol drinks being consumed on the street. So not sure what you mean by northern blueberries, but the bikers were just having a great time on a beautiful day.

I believe he means just what he said, northern blueberries as in used for making a blueberry pie. That would be delicious.
Great pictures by the way. I have owned 4 Harleys and miss every one of them.

Thanks for the compliment on the photos Dennis. Getting pictures of bikes and people going by even at low speeds is the easiest thing to do. However it is fun. I guess I'm so used to the downtown of Prescott that blueberry pie just didn't seem to catch in my brain.

Couldn't say with certainty who #3 was. There were just one of thousands of bikers going by that day. I actually got to talk to very few of the bikers. There is only so much room to park in this town. Most of the people just passed on through. I thought the lad with the white hair standing in a door way looked a lot like Guy on Dinner's Drive Inns and Dives. The hardest part of shooting that day was that so much of it was happening in full sun light at high noon. But it was all worth the time.

Thanks, Dennis. That is exactly what I meant. By northern blueberries I meant the wild kind found in wildetness areas - those have many time more flavor than the cultivated 'blues' found in food stores.
great photos, love the bikes
