Barry I made a couple of cruises alongside the Midway. Was on the USS Bauer DDE1025 and the USS Towers DDG 9 from April 1959 to December 1962. Bought my first dslr camera ( a Canon of all things!) in Sasebo, Japan. Saw a lot of that part of the world as a young man.

Saw that last time we were in San Diego. Nice set. I have more admiration for sailors. Most spaces sleep and work are confined. No wonder they love the chance to be on deck.
