I want to thank all the Hoggers who responded (and are still doing so), to my querry about the Wacom tablet. Very helpful, giving me better insight into that area. I have another question:
I am learning many of you have what you're calling the 'meduim' size. What size is that, and is it I.D.'d by just that, 'medium size' - are there three models made, small, medium and large? What are the dimensions of the 'medium' one? Just wondering, if/when I order how to make sure it's the correct size. Once again, thanks to ALL who have responded to my original question - much appreciated.

There are three sizes: small, medium and large. I have the small size and love it. I actually do not use the full size of the pad as you can customize the working size of the pad. By keeping the working size of the pad smaller I can work the entire monitor screen of 27" with slight move of hand. Only drawback of the small size is that it has six customizable quick buttons versus eight on the medium and large sizes. Good luck.

Stick to the medium. Get the wireless one.

Start watching the Wacom YouTube channel.

Medium is 8 1/2" by 10 1/2". To answer your question.

The main reason is there is a lot less motion needed to go from one corner of the screen to the other. The second reason is the real estate of your work surface requiring less of a foot print. You hand eye coordination will adjust for the smaller motion needed. You can also adjust the work area size in there soft ware to a size your happy with.

On a PC - Control Panel Scroll down to Tablet settings. You will find what you need there.
