Epson V500 Slide Scanner

These pics have no PP. They are from the scanner right out of
the box. It takes about 5 minutes to scan 4 slides at 300dpi
for printing. These slides were made in 1987.
I have tried several ways to copy slides, this is by far the
best way.

This is the box I need ... does it scan larger format?
My next move ... one day is to scan my film of over forty
year ... some of my best work is 4x5. Bv
Oh ... what film? looks Kodak e-chrome ... got any
Kodachrome around?

It won't do 4x5 negs.

I think you ought to look into getting a commission from Epsom. How many on here have you talked into getting one of these machines?

You can do the 4x5 negs in 2 halves and stitch them together in Photoshop. The V500 will scan film as wide as 2 1/4" (for standard 120 medium format roll film.)

Hi, I have the same scanner. Contacted their tech support and was given info on how to scan larger negs. Had to purchase a piece of glass to put on top of the scanner glass. They actually suggested 2 pieces of glass with the neg sandwiched in between but I found one work. There are some specific settings that I can't put my hands on right now (moving day) but if you are interested I will find it and pass it on. I scanned 3x5s with no problem.

I've had the Epson V500 almost from the day it came on the market and have loved it. It looks as though it's doing a very good job for you too.

For the price you can't beat it.
I figure I'll have it paid for
at about 950 slide scans.

I'm still in a learning curve and haven't got anything decent to post yet. Will post some when I can get this thing figured out.
