Does anyone know if you can reverse the light meter in the Sony a6000, like you can with Nikon meters from - /+ to +/-?

Uncertain, however here's a link to the user's manual. May help. Enjoy your a6000 - I love mine!

Yea, I have looked through the user's manual and could not see anywhere that you could reverse the meter. Just wondering if anyone knew and it was just not in the manual.

Humm that was my first question... many thing are reversed in southern hemisphere... water swirling down the drain... Hot water on right - cold on left, people suck in when they sneeze !! :?: :?: Oh! about forgot to say, be careful when you flush toilets in Australia!!!

On all my cameras I have the meter set from + to - and Im just used to it that way. Its not a big deal but thought it would be consistent if I could change it. I could change my Nikons to match the Sony. But was just wondering if anyone else reverses the light meter in the Sony.

Not to mention driving on the wrong side of the road, sitting on the wrong side of the car and trying to use a stick shift with the wrong hand! Pedestrians have to reverse the direction they look before stepping off a curb, too, or end up a "bug on someone's windshield... um, windscreen"! Is it any wonder that Max went Mad?

I don't think that feature is available. :(

Now when you say light meter... do you mean exposure compensation?

No I mean the actual meter.

Lets see. A meter takes in light and gives off numbers that the camera uses. By reversing the meter, is it meant the camera gives the meter numbers and the meter gives off light?

Tell me how you access this meter on your camera: Is there a button or is it activated through the function or menu button?

I'm pretty sure he means exposure compensation. But he is referring to the +/- exposure scale at the bottom of the EVF. I take it he wants the + value on the left instead of the right (which can't be done) as far as I know.

Yes Lifenprism that is it. The exposure scale. Im from the film days and it was called a light meter. But Ive been searching and I can see no way to reverse it on this camera.

No... there is no way to change the direction of the exposure compensation scale with this camera.

You can change the exposure steps (and therefore the amount per increment)... but not the direction of the scale.

Thanks. I thought so but sometimes the Hogs have ways beyond the manuals. Thanks everyone.
