We had a weather event the other day that the locals are calling rain. In other parts of the country it might be called a violent mist. Just enough to dampen the ground, and spot the paint on the cars.
Next morning these things appeared in the garden. Not at all what I was expecting. The tulips and daffodils have been blooming since January, and the dahlias are up and growing. So, what the heck are these things?
One from flower pot #1
Another from flower pot #2
Not to be left out flower pot #3

Maybe, except these are only a couple of inches tall, not giant plant monsters out to conquer the world.
Ah, but the triffids started out small. I'd keep a close watch and be prepared to run.

Looks like another mal treated, malnourished citizen of the Socialist Republic of California. Or maybe it's just the water shortage.

Could be a victim of the oppressive class feeding them nothing but GMO food.

How do you think they became mutant ninja tulips in the first place? It was, most certainly, due to them being fed genetically altered MiracleGro!

OMG! Have to find a better food.
With the weird coming out of your garden perhaps you should rent a Geiger Counter. The mutant tulip is beautiful if it wasn,t torn.
