What size is good to use for sharing many pictures with family, friends on websites such as Flickr, Dropbox? Specified in pixels, etc. when exporting from Lightroom.

I use 3000x2000 for my flickr exports because I like the bigger images.

That amounts to half the original for me.

I think it is really a personal preference.

This link & image go to a 3000x2000 image on flickr, the link however shows a 500x333 image.

If it's just for viewing, I use either (sm) 854x480 landscape or (med) 1366x768 landscape. This one is resized to small with Windows Power Toys "image re-sizer". Usually they come out less than 100K in size.

If you have a smart TV, see what that allows. I use Google+, but my TV doesn't.

I never resize for Flickr - I send as shot. It works fine.

I upload the originals to smugmug, and it takes it from there.

+1. I upload full quality jpegs to Flickr. Gives my friends / clients the option to download and use full quality.
