Generally geese are bothersome critters, especially on golf courses. But as a pilot, I appreciate their flying skills.
This is just a fun shot, because I never had quite this view.

Well, if I gotta tell all.
I would love to say I was in an ultralight following him down, but actually he was on the grass along side of a parking lot, which was above a small stream. When I approached him to try to get a shot of him taking off (I had an MFT with a 25mm prime) he jumped down to the water. I shot at 1/640 shutter priority & 400 ISO because the day was dull. I was still about 15-20 feet from him when I got the one shot, so this is an enlargement from maybe 20% of the image.
